Unf#ck Your Mind…

·

,

“You’re not good enough mate…”

“You’ll never be that kinda person”

“Don’t even start, you’ll fail anyway”

I can riff on and on about the inner workings of our minds.

The thoughts and beliefs between our ears.

There quiet around us, but inside? Fucking turmoil.

And how do I know this? Because this is me lol.

A chronic inner voice person who battles with his inner thoughts, rules, fears and everything else on daily basis.

And did you know we have over 40,000 thoughts a day…

That’s a lot to be thinking about, especially if most of those are negative.

Yet when you decide you want to build something for yourself, to become more, to be better, to leave the job you hate , and have a crack at building a lifestyle business…

One where you can work remotely at any time, anywhere, you’ll be confronted with almost every unresolved fear that you have.

Shit you didn’t even think about until that moment you dared to have a little bit of hope to do something out of the norm…to be, dare I say it, unemployable.

You’re not good enough…
You’re not skilled enough…
You don’t know enough…
Your parents were always right…
You’re silly…

All this BS that doesn’t drain your energy, but stop you from creating something awesome..,

Something you could look back on 6-12 months from now and think – “Damn, I’m proud of me, look where my life is now”.

And well, I want that to be you…

I want that for you…

So here’s a few tips to help you get unfucked, and into action so you can finally start backing yourself, and seeing what you’re truly capable off.

Ready? Let’s go:

1) You are not your thoughts!

You’re not.

Even if you think you are.

All your thoughts are, are a concoction of things you’ve let in through T.V, social media, parents, school, blogs like this one, college, work, and then you construct your own narrative and spin around everything else.

What you are though, are your actions.

Because as crazy as this sounds, unless you can move stuff with your thoughts, nothing will get done…nothing.

You’ll just get busy thinking, twiddeling your thumbs, and procrasonating, a recipe for the “sweet F all delight meal”

So what you wanna do is pretty simple.

Think about what you’d like to do, who’d you like to be, what service you’d like to offer, then write it down.

That’s it.

Nothing ground breaking, but it’s a simple step that starts to turn an idea into something.

It’s on paper now (or your I-phone) and not cooped up in your mind.

2) Action kills fear.

Ever notice how the more time you spend thinking about doing something, the scarier it becomes?

Your brain just goes to town on imaginary problems:
“What if I fail?”
“What if I look stupid?”
“What if my mum was right and I should’ve just stuck to that safe job?”

Here’s the thing, fear grows in silence and shrinks with movement.

The moment you start taking small steps, the noise begins to fade.

Emails sent, posts written, clients contacted, each bit of action proves to your brain that you’re not who those thoughts say you are.

Momentum builds.

Confidence compounds.

It’s less “I need to feel ready” and more “Let’s see what happens when I move.”

3) Rewire your environment.

You are not just fighting thoughts, you’re fighting the inputs that create them.

If you keep scrolling doom-laden content, gossip, and comparison reels all day, then of course you’ll feel like crap.

There’s only so many Lambos, mansions, and big houses you can take before you start thinking “Is there something wrong with me”, there isn’t.

It’s not that you’re weak, you’re just letting shit fill your brain with stuff that makes you feel crap about yourself…

Let’s have none of that shall we lol.

So here’s the move:

Audit your environment.

Who are you talking to daily?
What are you watching?
What are you listening to?
What’s cluttering your physical space?

Because that will make a huge difference.

And if you’re social media feed is flooded with content that makes you feel less than, and that you can’t create your own lifestyle business…unfollow, and move on.

Life’s to short for that shit.

Protecting your mental space isn’t woo-woo, it’s strategy.

Final thoughts

Look, none of this is easy.

You’re gonna have days where your mind wins.

We all do

Heck, my mind is always on “GO GOO GOOOO!!”

Where the thoughts are so loud it feels impossible to move.

Where whipping out your phone and doom scrolling to fill the time feels easier.

But that’s the game.

That’s the inner work most people skip…

The part where you learn to separate you from the noise between your ears.

Because the truth is, you’re never going to think your way into confidence or clarity.

You act your way there.

Small actions.
Honest effort.
One micro-win at a time.

Before you know it, the same voice that once told you “you’re not good enough” starts to shut the hell u, because you’ve got evidence now.

Evidence that you can do this.
That you are doing this.
That the story in your head doesn’t get to write the ending.

So here’s my challenge to you, this week, do one thing that your “inner critic” says you can’t.

Just one.

Write that post.
Launch that page.
Send that message.
Take that first messy step.
Start that lifestyle business you’ve always wanted

And crack the F on amigo.

Because nothing changes until you move.

And time will always pass.

You can’t get that back.

And sometimes, all it takes is proving to yourself, once, that you actually can

You’ve got this.
